The simple fact of the matter is each maker was different and as far as I know, no one else has trended these things. The introduction of stock types (walnut to beech) is less consistent, though generally there is a range where beech is more common and in many cases where it is almost universal with some makers. Some makers were more rigid in the application, none more than Amberg. The subject is far too complex for a simple internet post, all the makers had their own inspectors (acceptance) and they changed regularly, the patterns are generally more consistent in ranges (year for a certain number of blocks, in some cases they will last beyond a years production) the fireproofs also changed, though slightly the features (grips and takedown introduction) were introduced in stages, though with consistency (once began they generally remained, though at the transition there was some back and forth).
